Spark the copper
The raw idea, in your words. A conversation, usually at your place of business, where we watch how the work actually happens and where it hurts.
- Units now and in a year
- Who touches it every day
- The deadline that's really driving it
U Good Labs takes the idea you keep describing to people and turns it into software that runs on your phone, in your name, with your data. You see it working before you sign anything.
A studio in Wilmington, Delaware. Small on purpose. Every client gets one builder who has seen the whole thing.
No spec. No jargon. The sentence you've been repeating is enough to start from, because that sentence is the spark, and everything else is our job.
That's the sketch. The build is the next conversation, and it usually starts with us showing you a version that already works.
One letter, three states of matter. A copper spark runs through a lattice and comes out the other side as solid titanium. Every project we take on makes the same trip.
The raw idea, in your words. A conversation, usually at your place of business, where we watch how the work actually happens and where it hurts.
The skeleton: screens, data model, the rules the software must refuse to break. We build it as a working proof of concept and put it in your hands, not a slide deck.
The shipped thing. Your domain, your accounts, your data, your brand. Installed on the phones that need it, with someone on the other end when it needs a hand.
Each one started as a sentence from the owner. Each one runs today. Each one looks like the business it belongs to, not like the other two.
Client names, addresses and records shown here are stand-ins. The software and the results are real.
Every home gets a page Google can find. Renters apply from their phone. Rent lands in the owner's bank. Repairs stop falling through. And when someone stops paying, every step of a Pennsylvania eviction sits on one screen with the legal clock on it. It knows a handshake tenancy still needs written notice, and it will stop a filing while a licence is lapsed, because in Philadelphia that alone loses the case.
Customers were texting in photos of registrations and receipts, and the front desk was retyping all of it into the shop system. Now staff drop the screenshot in, the AI reads it, a person checks it, and the customer and vehicle appear in the shop's own management system with the concern attached. Confidence is earned, not claimed: a bad VIN gets a low score and a note saying why.
A portrait, sport and celebration photographer who was booking over DMs. Now the portfolio, the rate, the live openings and the deposit live on one page the client can't lose. The look was sampled from their logo, because a photographer's site should feel like their work, not like a template.
Every client gets a distinct look, chosen by their trade and tinted to their logo. These are the skins and interfaces on the shelf right now; a new one takes an afternoon.
Plain names for what we build. If your idea needs something not on this list, say so; it probably needs two of these joined together.
Your own address and brand. Pages Google can find. A button that does the thing: apply, book, pay, report.
No app store. It goes on the home screen like any other app, updates itself, and tells people when it did.
A screenshot becomes a customer record. A text becomes a booking. A person checks it before anything is sent anywhere.
Shop management, card and bank payments, email, texting, your books. We read the API docs so you don't.
Deposit limits, notice periods, licence deadlines, fair-housing steps. Built into the screen instead of left to memory.
Deployed, monitored, patched and supported month to month. Your accounts, your card, our hands on the wheel only where you've agreed.
The fastest way to lose a small business's trust is to own something it needs. So we don't. This is written into the agreement, not just the website.
Short, in that order, with both numbers said out loud before anyone signs.
Email, text, or a visit. The bench above is a fine way to start.
An hour at your place of business, seeing how the work moves and where it snags.
A working version with your workflows and sample data, behind a locked preview link. You sign in and try it as every role.
A one-time build fee and a monthly rate. Founding clients who help shape the roadmap get build credit and a locked rate in return.
Your accounts opened in your name, your data imported, your phones set up. Then thirty days of hypercare.
